How long have you been on the Dream Team?

Since March 2021

What made you want to get into the industry?

If I am being honest, after planning my own sweet 16, I knew that the party planning and hospitality industry was for me. There is something about bringing someone else’s vision to life that always kept me going in this field.

What’s a typical day at Dream like for you?

I can’t say I have a regular typical day at Dream. Every day here at Dream, there is always something different. If I am not helping out catering drops to clients then I am somewhere in the office working on staffing, or I could be helping my team out with whatever they need done for their upcoming events.

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the industry ever since I was 16 when I worked for my aunt’s company. My aunt would plan wedding showcases, and I always knew since then I wanted to work in the hospitality industry.

Where are you from? If not Nashville, how did you decide to move here?

I am originally from Miami, Florida, but moved to Nashville from Orlando. I was born and raised back in Miami but moved to Orlando in 2015 to attend the University of Central Florida  Hospitality program. I graduated back in 2018 and stayed living out in Orlando until March of 2021 when my boyfriend and I decided to take the leap and move up to Nashville.

How do you stay on top of everything? Any organizational tips or tricks?

Having my personal calendar and work calendar always up to date is how I am able to stay organized. Plus having both schedules in the palm of my hand.

What are some of the challenges you face on a day-to-day basis and how do you overcome them?

At the moment the hardest challenge is making sure that each event is staffed accordingly. For the majority of our event staff team, this is just a part-time, on-call job, so when I get call outs, I need to think quickly and fill their position up fast so the event is not unstaffed. I also think having good communication and a strong bond with my team and other staffing agencies that we work with is very helpful when needing to staff events.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Traveling and being outdoors.
