Maggie & Blake: A Romantic & Elegant Garden Wedding

Maggie and Blake celebrated their big day with a romantic ceremony at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens followed by a reception at Clementine.

Maggie spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids at Clementine. Chick-Fil-A was delivered for lunch so they could fill their bellies before the big day. Maggie wore a gorgeous lace wedding down with a long veil, while her bridesmaids wore off-the-shoulder light pink satin dresses. They held bouquets full of white and soft pink flowers with pops of greenery that perfectly complemented their dresses.

Once Maggie was ready, she did a first look with her brother and father on the stage at Clementine. Then a trolly took Maggie and the bridal party to Cheekwood to meet Blake, where they did a first look with the Reflecting Pool glistening in the background.

The two then tied the knot with a stunning ceremony under Cheekwood’s Wisteria Arbor. The space was decorated with gold chairs, tons of greenery, place holder cards for seating, and all their favorite people. A champagne wall with gold rimmed champagne glasses was also set up for guests to enjoy.

Once the ceremony was finished, guests made their way to Clementine for the reception where the new Mr. and Mrs. Blake and Maggie Burns made their grand entrance to “Making Memories of Us” by Keith Urban.

The couple incorporated many personalized touches into their reception. They had an After the Tone guest book for friends and family to leave a voice message that Maggie and Blake would cherish forever; a neon sign that read “Mr. & Mrs. Burns” was set up against a greenery wall.; and they included a little table with photos of loved ones they wish could have been there on this special day. There were also two signature cocktails for guests to choose from, a la flama blanca and  whiskey smash.

Dinner began with a variety of appetizers, including herbed mushroom crostinis, berry and brie phyllo, and mini chicken and waffle bites. The appetizers held guests over until a delicious stationed dinner was served. The salad station included a BLT wedge salad, caesar salad, and candied pear salad. The risotto station featured creamy parmesan risotto, wilted spinach, panetta, artichoke hearts, grilled chicken, and garlic shrimp. Thet beef tenderloin carving station featured Parker House rolls, a creamy horseradish sauce, a cabernet reduction, and gorgonzola butter. Dinner also included many side selections, such as shaved brussel sprouts with a spicy glaze, rosemary roasted carrots and beets, and boursin and caramelized onion smashed potatoes.

Following dinner, the cake cutting began and toasts were given to the newlyweds. As guests enjoyed the cake, Maggie and her father danced to “Forever Young” before she took the floor with her husband with a dance to “Loving is Easy” by Rex Orange County. Guests were then called to join the dance floor, starting the night off with “You Can Call Me Al.”

As the night came to an end, guests made their way outside for the grand exit. As they readied themselves for the goodbye, Maggie and Blake did one last private dance before Maggie threw her hair in an updo and changed into a short strapless white dress, sparkly heels, and formal gloves for their exit.

Congratulations, Maggie & Blake! We loved having the opportunity to play a role in your big day and we wish you all the love and happiness!
