April & Dylan: A Romantic Rustic Wedding

From Bumble to bride. April and Dylan met on the dating app Bumble when April decided to make the first move and send Dylan a message. His response was, “I was hoping you would message me.”

These two immediately felt it could be something special during their first date, which included dinner at Kenny’s Westside Pub in Peoria, Illinois, followed by a March Madness game at the Peoria Civic Center.

Fast forward two years, Dylan tricked April into thinking they were going for their usual hike with their pups. But as they were hiking through the beautiful trail, Dylan lined trees with a sign that read “Will You Marry Me?” With tear-filled eyes, it was the biggest yes April could’ve given!

Fast forward another two years and the couple tied the knot at Green Door Gourmet in Nashville. The morning started off with a delicious brunch and just the right amount of champagne— mimosas for the ladies and Bloody Marys for the men.

April and Dylan shared a special first look, exchanging letters and vows before the ceremony, which took place outside under a beautiful rustic setup, featuring sage green and coral florals.

The groom and wedding parties entered to the song “I Do” by Aloe Blacc. April then made her grand entrance to “1000 years” by Piano Guys. It was straight out of a movie.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour outside the Grand Barn. They nibbled on delicious hors d’oeuvres, including a large charcuterie station, various homemade chips and dips, and of course, queso from Chuy’s. And let’s not forget the open bar serving a specialty margarita!

When the reception began, guests entered the barn where April and her father danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, followed by Dylan and his mother’s dance to “Always Be My Baby” by Tim Halperin.

Following the dances, dinner was well on its way. Three food stations were set up for guests to choose from, including: a chicken & beef quesadilla station, taco & fajita bar, and finally, a duo of salads – corn and black bean garden salad versus a caprese salad with a fresh balsamic drizzle and basil vinaigrette. It was too hard to choose for most guests, so they had to try a little bit of everything!

The desserts came out and guests stuffed their bellies full of cookies, brownies, and mini milkshakes. What more could you ask for?!

After the reception, which definitely wasn’t the end of the celebration, guests sent the wedding party off with a classic sparkler exit so they could continue dancing the night away in downtown Nashville!

Congratulations April & Dylan! We loved being a part of your day, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness and many more memories!
