Bride and Groom in Intimate Garden Setting

Sydney & Patrick: A Vibrant Spring Wedding

Sydney & Patrick celebrated their nuptials with a vibrant spring ceremony at CJ’s Off the Square in Franklin after having to postpone their wedding a whole year due to COVID. Originally scheduled for May 2020, the couple decided that instead of riding out some of the bumps they foresaw at the time, they opted to take their time to plan the wedding they both envisioned!

Due to the pandemic, the couple didn’t want to wait to tie the knot so they went to city hall for an intimate ceremony for just the two of them. Sydney and Patrick knew they still wanted a big celebration with their family and friends down the road, so they ended up getting the best of both worlds.

On the big day, the wedding party did a champagne toast in their suites before Sydney and Patrick had a first look and private vow exchange while reminiscing about their ceremony at city hall.

Their wedding was full of vibrant florals with pops of pink, orange, and yellow, which contrasted well with the misty, cool spring weather.

After the ceremony, friends and family found their seats at the reception with a personalized seating chart with photos of each guest and their designated seat.

Sydney and Patrick decided to skip a traditional dinner and opt for a heavy appetizer buffet. Their menu consisted of a decadent selection of hors d’oeuvres—goat cheese tartlets, chicken salad wontons, charred beef crostinis, BBQ pork sundaes, and hot chicken bao (Nashville hot chicken bites with a bao bun). Dessert was a classic white-frosted cake with popping peonies. That’s one way to brighten the April showers!

After filling up on the buffet of appetizers, guests hit the dance floor. The reception was full of dancing, dancing, and more dancing! Sydney even brought her own tambourines with bright ribbons to liven up the dance floor even more.

Once the reception was over, the night was just getting started as the bride changed out of her wedding gown and guests said goodbye with a sparkler sendoff! The newlyweds then boarded a trolley to Broadway with their wedding party, pizza, and libations to refuel. Oh, what a night!

Congratulations, Sydney and Patrick! We are so happy you had the wedding of your dreams, and we are glad to help bring it to life! Best wishes to you both!
