10 Jul Summer Sips: Signature Cocktails
People love getting together in the summer. BBQs, backyard parties, weddings, and corporate events pop up all over the place during this season. The days are longer, the sun is usually out, and it just feels right. Admittedly, there are few better things than a refreshing and crisp beverage at a hot summer party. We dreamed up four refreshing and chilly signature cocktails that are guaranteed crowd-pleasers for your summer gatherings. Named after iconic neighborhoods located here in Nashville, Tenn. and the vibe of these local hot-spots, you can find the right summer signature cocktail to match your party’s vibe.
Made with St George Green Chile vodka, coconut water, muddled jalapeno, lime, and sparkling water — this signature cocktail is both refreshing and surprising. That’s why we named this after Nashville’s 12South neighborhood. This is a perfect drink to sip after exploring the many boutiques and adorable bungalows lining the streets of 12South.
We’d be remiss to not include a bourbon-based beverage in our Music City lineup. This Old-Fashioned crafted with Blanton’s Bourbon, a dash of cinnamon and orange bitters will complete any bourbon lover’s summer wish list. We named this cocktail The Downtown because downtown Nashville is best enjoyed with a bourbon in hand.
We named our recreation of the Aperol Spritz after the colorful and young Gulch neighborhood in Nashville. 2 oz of Prosecco, 1 and 1/4 oz of Aperol and a splash of Topo Chico sparkling water make this signature cocktail both colorful and an easy sipper as you enjoy the conversation, cool crowds and youthful vibe of the Gulch.
Named after the quirky East Nashville, this drink is bubbling with flavor and vibes (just like the neighborhood). Champagne, a dash of St. Germain, and blueberries in a stemless glass make this the perfect not-too-pretentious drink for your chill friends.
