Since 2018

What’s a typical day at Dream like for you?

Lots of emails, calendar invites, and phone calls.

What got you into sales?

I built the foundation of my career at an event venue that specializes in creating culinary experiences for social events. My big move from Michigan led me to find a new opportunity with the Dream team! Here, I narrowed my focus to catering and event sales. So far, I’ve found it to be rewarding in many ways!

What are some of the challenges you face on a day-to-day basis and how do you overcome them? 

Short term event requests tend to be the biggest challenge for me. They come with more stress and urgency than long-term planning contracts, but staying positive is the best way to get the job done.

Do you have any advice for clients who are looking for a caterer?

Create a budget! Knowing how much you’re willing to spend will help you focus on the best choices that don’t break the bank. 

What’s one of the most commonly asked questions on a sales call? 

“Do you have availability?”

How do you stay on top of everything? Any organizational tips or tricks?

A tip I learned along the way is to keep my email clutter-free. It’s my goal to have an empty [inbox] at the end of each work day. 

What’s your favorite part about your job? 

Bringing couples into the Dream catering kitchen for a tasting! It’s a fun way to get to know my clients’ needs and help them complete what can be an overall daunting task on their wedding planning checklist. 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Retail therapy, drinking espresso martinis, and spending time with my loved ones!
