None of this is possible without our team. This month on the blog, we’re highlighting Jenn Hesse, HR & Staffing Coordinator. With years of experience in the industry, she has been an irreplaceable member of the Dream Team since joining us almost three years ago. Learn more about her below.
What made you want to get into the industry?
To be honest, I am not 100% sure. It kind of just happened, but I am so happy I ended up in the hospitality industry! It has helped me grow professionally more than I could have ever imagined.
What’s a typical day at Dream like for you?
I don’t think “typical” is even in our vocabulary at Dream. Every day is different and that is why I love it! It keeps us on our toes for sure!
How do you stay on top of everything? Any organizational tips or tricks?
I have a daily and weekly to-do list that keeps me on top of everything! I definitely suggest reading or writing out a to-do list first thing when you get to work so you know what you have to accomplish that day. That doesn’t mean the list won’t grow though because it typically does throughout the day!
What are some of the challenges you face on a day-to-day basis and how do you overcome them?
This year, the main challenge has been keeping up with all the changes due to the pandemic, making sure the company is staying safe and following all the safety precautions to ensure all employees are safe when working!
What are you most excited about in this company’s future?
Continuing with our positive company culture!
How important is company culture and what do you do to maintain it?
It is so important to Dream! We strive to maintain a positive and supportive environment. We believe it starts with finding the right team members and finding people who are a good fit for the company. We focus most of our interview questions on our core values to ensure applicants believe in the same values Dream strives for.
What’s your favorite part about your job?
The people I work with! Dream Team for the win.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Traveling, reading and hanging out with friends
