27 Apr Summer of 25 Dreams Kick Off | The Big Payback
This summer, Dream Events & Catering is marking our 25th anniversary. Of course we had to celebrate this milestone but what to do? A fancy party didn’t feel right. We could write one of those big checks but that only helps one organization. We definitely want to give back to the community that has supported us for the last quarter century.
And then it came to us. A summer-long celebration of Nashville! A summer where we would highlight important causes, engage our team and partner with local charities & organizations. We are pleased to introduce the Summer of 25 Dreams where our Dream Team will feeding, empowering, supporting, championing, creating and committing 25 acts of dreaminess all over Middle Tennessee for the next four months.
25 Dreams
We’re kicking off our summer with The Big Payback. This community-wide, 24-hour online giving challenge hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is a charitable event that helps area nonprofits raise much-needed dollars and bring awareness to pressing needs in our community. From midnight to midnight on May 3, 2017, donors (that’s you!) can give to participating nonprofits, schools, and religious institutions located and/or providing services in the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee. Your giving is then boosted with financial incentives and pop-up prizes (courtesy of some awesome sponsors) that the participating organizations have a chance to win. In the past three years, The Big Payback has helped raise more than $6.5 million dollars for nearly 800 local nonprofits. So, Wednesday, May 3, your mission is to give to your favorite Middle Tennessee causes.
Our big payback is food and drink. We’ll be keeping the Big Payback’s hard-working volunteers fueled and feed throughout the day as they get the word out, encourage donation and support participating organizations. Twenty-four more dreams will follow – but we need your help!

- Help us pick our final five dreams for the summer! Share your own dreams using the #Summerof25Dreams on Instagram & Facebook and they will be posted to our Wall of Dreams.
- Join us by giving to our Dream Donation Drive. We’re collecting items all summer long in partnership with Little Lady Big Cause, supporting a variety of local organizations in Middle Tennessee. Read more and see the needs list HERE.
- Sign Up for our email list where we’ll send your updates on our dreamy summer.
- Follow our progress on Instagram & Facebook where will be sharing details and behind the scenes photos from our dream.
