Event Inspiration: 4 Holiday Place Cards

Place cards don’t just need to direct your guests to their seat at the table but can do double duty as event decor.  We have four ideas for easy place cards to dress up your holiday gatherings this season!

Frosted Pine Cone Place Card

Pine cone make natural place cards with their built-in nooks and crannies. We love this for your Christmas or New Year’s table but a un-frosted cone would also work on your Thanksgiving table. Pick a paper that matches the color palette of your tablescape and you’re set!

Rosemary Sprig Place Card

Any herb makes a fragrant complement to a place card but we love rosemary for the holidays.  Its evergreen quality has us thinking of trimming the tree and we can’t get enough of it in our favorite holiday foods.  The first card simply tucks the stem of a rosemary spring through a small slit in the card (use a dot of hot glue to secure it).  The second card is a folded over and clipped with a mini clothes pin, tied with twine.  Check out your local craft store for mini clothes pins and consider swapping for a pretty silver or gold clip for a more elegant look.

Place Card Satchel with Tag

Another easy place card that will work well beyond your holiday parties.  This takes a decorative satchel with an affixed tag.  Simple and easy to customize for any table, we love the effortlessness this will bring to your table.

Mini Pumpkin Place Card

Who doesn’t love a mini white pumpkin?!  Perfect for your Thanksgiving table, head to your local pumpkin patch to find these mini pumpkins and gourds on all colors (often to a dollar or less!). Use a gold or silver sharpie to pen your guest’s name for a more festive look.
