The Dream Team loves our community and we are always so grateful to be able to give back to the community that has continued to support us throughout the years. With the season of gratitude and giving upon us, we wanted to share four wonderful ways your company can give back to Nashville non-profits and organizations. Whether matching other donations or providing volunteer work, your company can make sure to give back to the city you call home this holiday season.
Office Donation Drive
Most of us have too much of something, whether that be a pile of clothes we no longer wear or kitchen items we no longer use. Hosting an office donation drive takes the guess work out of where and how to donate – your employees will appreciate having a place to easily donate the items they no longer use, and you’ll be able to happily donate to families or organizations in need.
This past summer as a part of #Summerof25Dreams, the Dream Team hosted a summer long donation drive with Little Lady Big Cause. The biggest need was big kids and teen clothing, and by working with our clients, friendors (vendors that are our dearest friends!), and our entire Dream Team we were able to donate thousands of items to Little Lady Big Cause and her list of 13 Nashville non-profits, giving directly to the people and families in need.
Nashville Diaper Connection
The Nashville Diaper Connection is focused on getting clean diapers to the Nashville community in order to help families get out of the poverty cycle. Why diapers? Did you know you can buy candy with food stamps, but not diapers? And without diapers, babies are uncomfortable, can’t go to childcare or participate in early childhood education. And without childcare, parents cannot go to work or school. The Nashville Diaper Connection is an amazing organization with a meaningful cause that positively and immediately impacts people in our neighborhoods.
Struggling families often find themselves choosing between food or diapers. That’s a decision you and your company can help alleviate. Get in touch with the NDC about hosting a diaper wrap with your employees (we wrapped 3,000 diapers in under an hour!) or host a diaper drive with corporate match donations. Easy ways to give a little and make a big difference!
Big PayBack
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s The Big Payback is a 24-hour, online giving event created to increase philanthropy in the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee. Every May this online event raises money to “pay back” non-profit organizations that do amazing work throughout the year in Middle Tennessee communities. As a corporate sponsor, you can match donations – an amazing way to multiply donations and make a huge difference for non-profit organizations with missions to support our community.
Compost Nashville
Caring for the Nashville environment resonated so deeply with the Dream Team that we not only partnered with Compost Nashville in our offices and this service is available to your business and home! Help minimize your carbon footprint and happily be an eco-friendly company with the help of Compost Nashville. By having Compost Nashville take compostable waste, your company can save hundreds of pounds of food scraps from the landfill.
